Tension

I was born in a village, vakakkad,near pala.During my primary school days the village has no electricity nor any bus service.Only mud road,two kilo meters walk to the bus stop.From 5th standard onwards i used to walk two kilo meters in the morning to school ,two each during noon time to take lunch and the return after the class ,total 8 kilo meters!Still life was such intense,joyful&complete in every sense.No hesitation,guests were treated sumptuously,no dearth for water in bath rooms,no hue&cry over washing and ironing clothes,(iron box charcoal equipped,energy saver&green earth!)The very air is not familiar with words like tension,stress,energy,synergy,best,worst etc.idiotic words!No best at that time,because we do not compare.Life in its totality with all purity.Nature gives you rain,wind &heat in time incorruptibly.
                          The other day a power cut happened, half an hour. It appeared like the world was going to end.I was wondering what would happen to us if a power failure happens for a week! We are successful in creating  more   comfort&convenience in this world&our standard of life increased ,no doubt.Our degree of physical pleasure also come up.We become more modern,sophisticated ,technically perfect.For a moment we think we control the life itself.Yes, modern man changed the destiny of mankind a lot.Inventions and discoveries in almost all fields of activities,though costing heavily to the planet earth.
                                        It appears strange that in spite of all these  the graph of tension rises day by day in our life.Human beings are tantalized by fear of future or fear of tomorrow.We wake up with fear,because we are filled with thoughts of insecurity.We do not trust anybody,we are too much logical.Anything our mind receives only after judging and analyzing thoroughly.We are not secure inside,as a result we are in search of security outside.We make all kinds of protective measures around us thinking that we are secure to that extent.A phone rings!We are tensed.Who is calling, ?what is the message?We forget that security is a feeling happening inside&and the more we try to secure us by correcting outside the more we are away from inside.If you are away from the work place how can you improve the situation there?
         Now modern management experts say tension is inevitable. Accept tension &worry& we pass those stress which we get from higher authorities,they say.If everything goes smooth & you are happy,they will not allow you  to  be happy.They say tomorrow things will change& start  worrying now! Any happiness is complacence for them.And any complacency is laziness for them.They misinterpret that only if you are tensed you will work.They show urgency&impatience in their body language.And by believing so, they also become hyper tensed.Now in meetings the routine question is"Any body wants tea with sugar?(not without sugar).Sweet thirties!
        Human beings are always thinking about their future.What will happen& what can happen?Two main thoughts.What will happen is the anxiety part &what can happen is our expectation about future.Worrying&dreaming.The strange part about thoughts is that it is completely unconnected.For example within a given 30 minutes of time you may have more than 100 thoughts which are not interconnected.Yes! Your thoughts are not yours!Only thing is that, it is happening inside you .The steering of your vehicle is not in your hands.Still you are getting caught  with your thoughts which fools you constantly...
      What is tension?it is a thought about the past,mostly about a bad thing happened  in the past or thought about your future .Both these thoughts you carry in the present is called tension.For eg:You have an assignment to do in the next week,you always think about it&fear about its successful completion.Actually the success of the task is no way connected to your unwanted thinking about it continuously.If at all the task fails you have to be tensed then only.Why you drag that tension?
               Thoughts are like uninvited visitors to our house.Suppose such visitors come in large numbers,can we able to feed them?Even our own privacy will be hindered.Just as our visitors have many purposes,our thoughts accompany many emotions too.We pay our full attention to these thoughts because we think we own it.Have you noticed ever that, some days you wake up in low mood or jittery for no reason at all.Just a bad thought hits you!Thats why the tension.You are a victim of your thoughts!Any thing which you do not have control is not yours.Your thoughts are not yours& the resultant emotions are also not yours!
Disrespect your thoughts,deliberately....You can see the effect of unwanted thoughts slowly dwindles in you.Your inner chattering gets reduced....You r getting free from tension...you live in the present!
 A work out: Just write in a paper any tensed thoughts happening during an hour.Read this paper after two days.You yourself will realize the fallacy of of such thoughts&you become cautious handling with your thoughts.
